THE MOST REWARDING PART OF A CAREER HERE

—Lawrence Malcolm, Welder, Fleet Services
"One of the things that I find most rewarding about my career with the City is all of the knowledge that I have obtained. My greatest highlight so far has been my Apprenticeship. There are so many different courses and directions you can take. And I love all of the extra things that go on here in the City. There are golf tournaments, corporate challenges, driving-skill competitions, social clubs, no-time-lost barbecues. It's all there if you choose to be a part of it."

"It's a very honored feeling working for the City. A real sense of pride goes into my work. The fact that I can say I work for the City is pretty amazing. And it's not every day that you can say you touched Lucy the Elephant's trunk, and then said hi to the Mayor! I have, so far, worked at the zoo and become friends with not only the keepers but the animals. And I have worked at City Hall, which is, in my opinion, one of the most amazing buildings in the City."
—Amie Scott, Painter I, Infrastructure Services

"You get to team with some great people to help build a better city to live in. I have worked with some very good people and made lifelong friends in the process. When I see others enjoying the facilities we've worked so hard to keep running efficiently, that is my reward. I would urge others to take a chance, and you may become a part of Edmonton and its future."
—Bruce Fraser, Electrical Contract Inspector, Buildings and Landscape Services
